Overview:
Our client builds and operates award-winning cloud-based enrollment tools that serve state-based exchanges, brokers, insurers, and consumers. In addition to eligibility determination, plan selection, and enrollment technology for state agencies, the company delivers innovative agent marketing and call center tools and services-They are bringing modern technologies such as microservice-based architecture, Kubernetes, and chatbots to this field. Towards this, they are looking for multifaceted, multi-skilled developers who can help build out and enhance the platform while adopting many of these technologies. We expect that the engineers who join will be working on a variety of tools and technologies that will change over time. So, ability and willingness to learn and adapt are far more important than knowledge of a specific set of technologies. The foundation must be strong Java-based web technologies.
As part of the team you will:
-Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to design and develop new features on the client’s platform.
-Design, code, test, and enhance microservices, and extend the architecture as the company’s solutions scale and evolve.
-Use Agile methodology to develop and iterate on features.
-Create clean, testable code. Participate in code & design reviews.
-Analyze and improve performance as needed.
Key qualifications and skills to succeed in this role:
-Advanced English (spoken and written)
-3+ years of experience in building high-quality, complex web applications in Java.
-Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices-based development.
-Strong understanding and experience with REST architecture / APIs
-Solid foundations in RDBMS concepts, SQL, design patterns, optimization for scale and performance.
-Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; enjoy owning and solving problems end-to-end.
-Willingness to learn and apply new technologies including Bot platforms and Machine Learning platforms.
Desired (not mandatory):
-Full Stack experience
-Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
-Experience with NoSQL
-Experience with Machine Learning techniques in data science.
-Experience with Bot platforms
