Overview:
Our client is looking for a Backend Engineer that will be playing a hands-on role in the core backend technologies, including designing and implementing APIs, and application performance improvements. You will participate in the design and architectural direction, understand requirements, and carry out the implementation of critical components. As part of the team you will:
-Architect and build APIs to communicate between microservices
-Manage database entities and write migrations for changes
-Optimize workflow runtime for Paragon’s workflow engine
-Audit and maintain application security
-Build and maintain application diagrams
-Monitor application logs and report issues
Key qualifications and skills to succeed in this role:
-Advanced English (spoken and written)
-Knowledge of microservice architecture, distributed systems, and streaming architecture
-Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests
-3+ years experience with Node-js, Java, or Go
-2+ years working on products with 10,000+ DAUs (daily active users)
-Confidence working in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where you’ll be responsible for decisions that influence the direction of the company
-A passion for learning, winning and building amazing products that people love using
Desired:
-Experience with Azure and GCP
-Experience with the NestJS server framework
-Frontend web development experience with React + Redux
-Experience building new products from the ground up at an early stage venture-backed company
